What underlay should I use under my new carpet?
+
For a standard residential lounge or bedroom, 10–11mm PU underlay is the right default, quiet, warm, supports power-stretching. For stairs and landings, 9–11mm crumb rubber. We'll confirm based on the carpet you're laying.
Do I need a damp-proof membrane under laminate?
+
Yes, if the sub-floor is concrete or screed, even decades-old concrete carries enough residual moisture to swell laminate joints. Use a combination underlay with built-in DPM, or lay a separate DPM under standard underlay.
Do you sell to the public, or only to the trade?
+
Both. Trade customers and informed DIY customers buy at the same direct supply. No 'trade only' counter behind the counter.
Can I collect from your showroom?
+
Yes, same-day collection from 4 Alexandra Rd, Gorseinon, Swansea SA4 4NJ during showroom opening hours.
Do you deliver?
+
Yes, across South Wales on our own van. Delivery charges are area-based and quoted at point of order.
Can you advise on what I need?
+
Yes, over the counter, on the phone or by email. Free, no obligation. We'd rather spec it right first time than sell you something that fails on you.
Do you stock acoustic underlay for upstairs flats?
+
Yes, rated acoustic underlay for laminate, engineered wood and LVT, with manufacturer-tested impact-noise reduction figures available for landlord/building manager evidence.
Do you supply matching scotia and doorbars?
+
Yes, scotia and doorbars in finishes to match common laminate, LVT and engineered wood ranges. Bring a sample or a photo and we'll match it.
